A cheap Correx sign cut to any size
Correx or fluted plastic signs, are one of the most common examples of outdoor signage that you are likely to see day to day. Correx signs are a cheap, durable signage solution which can be used again and again. They are easy to put up and cheap to print in bulk. We often see them being used as signs for retail businesses and more commonly as festival signs for car parks and directions.
For more information on Correx Signs, see our blog giving you a guide to Correx here.
Why use Correx or Fluted plastic signs?
- Waterproof and completely weatherproof.
- Cheap material with excellent durability.
- Light weight makes for cheap shipping and easy transit.
- Very low costs when large orders are placed.
- Can be taken down and re-used.
- Easily attached to posts, fences and walls.
Correx board comes in sheets of 10ft by 5ft. This size is great for printing huge amounts of Correx signs at one time. This makes printing correx very cheap. The Correx is easily cut and finished using a guillotine so the signs can be set out to fit as many as possible on a sheet.
How to order your Correx signs
You can order your Correx signage easily in two different ways:
- Order online and upload your own artwork
- Order online and "we'll design for you"
Various colours of Correx and fluted boards available
We can offer many different colours of Correx. This sometimes enables us to keep your costs down as we can print directly onto the colour of your choice. Whilst white remains the cheapest and most popular Correx sign, using bright yellow can sometimes be preferable to enhance the visibility of your message. However it is worth pointing out we can print almost any colour you require from your artwork or ours.
How to supply the best artwork – to get the best result
We want to provide you with the best quality print, and the better the artwork you send to us, the better able we will be to do just that.
Create your artwork at the actual size of the finished product, or scaled proportionally.
(to put it simply: Don't send long thin artwork if you are ordering a short wide board).
If your board is be put in a frame, or held by ties, or fixed with a batten etc.: - make sure your design will not result in important items being hidden.
Consider where your sign will be positioned - (for example: don't make text too small to read if the sign will be high on a wall, or at a roadside)
The best resolution for high quality images is 100dpi at full size. (For outdoor signs not viewed close up this can be lower).
(If you work at a scaled size you need to allow for the enlargement: SO for example - if your artwork is at 25% size then the best quality image resolution would be 400dpi.)
DO NOT add bleed
DO NOT add crop/trim marks
DO NOT send artwork which floats in a larger area.
DO NOT include anything on the artwork that you do not want to be printed on the final sign.
Save a copy of your artwork to send to us.
You can send:
PDF FILES - should be in pdf version 1.5 or higher, with all fonts embedded.
DO NOT SAVE DOWN TO PDF VERSION 1.3 - this is likely to reduce the quality of your artwork.
If you are using PHOTOSHOP do not save as a pdf, but flatten your file and save it as a .TIF file, using LZW compression,
or as a .JPG using the HIGHEST QUALITY setting, and send this file.
